Packing and Crating for

Medical equipment | Industrial equipment | Household goods | Artwork | More

Many packaging options are available for the protection of your items.  Using your description or our inspection, we will recommend the most efficient packaging method to you, which is based on over ten years of experience packing and shipping items everyday.  Options include:

Stock Box with Internal Cushioning (photos)

Unless you pack it yourself, this is the most affordable method for packing small items.  Our stock boxes accommodate items such as 21" computer monitors, bar stools, and smaller items.

For items that do not fit stock boxes or items that require heavy-duty corrugated, we cut individual made-to-order custom boxes from double-wall, 350-lb corrugated board, which may be reinforced with lumber for a strong, durable package.
Custom Hot Foam Mold (photos)
For items that are delicate, non-uniformly shaped, or require extra protection, we form foam molds around your item, which is separated from the mold by a flexible, plastic barrier.  These 2-piece molds are specifically fit between your item and its container (either coorugated boxes or wood crates).  We can make same-day molds starting from $20.
Picture Frame Crate (photos)
For framed artwork requiring more protection than corrugated can offer, a picture-frame-crate is an alternative that affords a higher level of protection and keeps costs reasonable.
Wood Crate (one-way) (photos)
If your item is too valuable or too heavy for corrugated, then a wood crate is the conventional packaging method.  Our crates vary from simple to those meeting complex design and construction standards.  Ask us and we will make a recommendation based on your needs.  If you already have a design, then we will build it for you.
Wood Crate (re-useable) (photos)
For tradeshows, on-site production equipment, and other purposes, you may need to use your crate multiple times.  With this in mind, we can attach the walls and lid so that the crate may be opened and closed repeatedly without being damaged.
Wood Crate (re-useable & collapsible) (photos)
When you want to ship an item to a remote location and have the empty crate returned to you for re-use, then a collapsible crate will reduce the cost of return shipping because it occupies less space.
Wood Crate (heavy duty) (photos)
Some items, such as exotic cars, industrial equipment, high-priority/high-value operations equipment, or items shipping to less-developed nations, require special attention to a crate's construction and durability.  Our heavy-duty crates have been used around the world.

Wood Skid with Stretch Wrap (photos)
Not all items require extra protection for shipping.  For example, tires, parking meters, wrought iron, certain fabrics, some industrial equipment, and other items may be secured to a fork-lift-friendly skid and stretch-wrapped for protection from the environment.  This method may also reduce the cost of shipping due to less weight in the packing materials.
